At brightsolid we take our environmental responsibilities very seriously. We are ISO14001 certified, which is the standard designed to help organisations minimise how their operations negatively affect the environment. So, what does that mean in practice? The prime example is our data centre. With a low average winter and summer temperature of 9 and 17 degrees respectively we are able to utilise fresh air as a major part of our cooling process. Hot and cold aisles within the centre ensure cooling is at its most efficient. 

The Novec1230 fire suppression system is one of the first of its type in the UK. The most environmentally friendly system available, it has no Ozone Depletion value and survives in the atmosphere for mere days instead of the usual years. 

We have also invested heavily in virtualisation and shared storage, which reduces our carbon footprint while providing higher availability.
