With expertise and commitment to quality in scanning, transcription and online publishing, brightsolid online publishing works with institutions such as The National Archives of England and Wales, The British Library, many state, county and local record offices and family history societies internationally to bring their irreplaceable collections to a worldwide audience of internet users.
We help partners to digitise their collections, providing them with an archival quality digital surrogate of their records, or publishing existing indexes and transcriptions. We publish the records on our own consumer websites , as well as actively licensing to other content aggregators. Partners receive a revenue stream from royalties based on paid views of their material by cutomers.
Through the brightsolid websites we have access to over 20 million registered customers who are interested in tracing their family history, connecting with people with shared interests, and who are willing to pay to access records that further their research.
We distribute royalties to our partners based on usage of their collections, providing ongoing revenue, and work with our partners closely to market their services and data.
BSOP already publishes around 750 million records but we're always hungry for more.
