brightsolid has an existing data centre that is now almost full to capacity and this second centre will continue to drive our ability to offer private, hybrid and public Clouds, delivering business critical applications to our customers.
To build this second data centre we parterned with IBM. They closely understood our requirements and they have been challenged with delivering the facility in a timely and cost effective manner.
Work started by stripping out some former ground floor office space, with all the interior walls, suspended ceilings and lights being removed.

Having completely stripped back the office space, we proceeded to install the north interior wall of the data centre with modular panel walls. These panels are 100mm thick and are made of 60 minute fire-rated modular steel mineral fibre insulated panels. Basically - not even the most ferocious of fires could damage our facility! Pretty cool, eh? (Bad joke!)
Over the next few weeks we aim to complete the fire proofing of the facility and start on the external plinth that will support our generators.
