Every ten years the Scottish Government is required to carry out a national census, which provides official statistics on the demographics of the country. After a competitive tendering process, brightsolid online technology was chosen to host the Census from their Tier 3+ Data Centres. The British Library's newspaper collections are among the finest in the world, containing most of the runs of newspapers published in the UK since 1800. In May 2010, the British Library signed an agreement with brightsolid for the mass digitisation of millions of newspapers pages to be made available online. As one of the UK's largest ever digitisation projects, brightsolid successfully launched the British Newspaper Archive in December 2011. The website coped with significant peak demand with over 1 million searches within the first day.

These records enable individuals to trace and contextualise their family history. findmypast.co.uk makes over 750 million records available to over 3 million registered users. It is part of brightsolid, the UK's largest family history organisation, which includes Scotland's People, 1911census.co.uk and the British Newspaper Archive.

Established in 1870, Cheshire Building Society has over 37 branches and 460,000 customers. In 2008 the Cheshire Building Society merged with the Nationwide Building Society – an existing client of brightsolid online technology. In order to facilitate further growth of their internet banking channel, they required the fully managed hosting of their Ektron Content Management System, as well as upgrading their existing Windows 2000 platform to Windows Server 2008 Release 2.
