brightsolid has a strategic partnership with leading information availability and business continuity provider SunGard Availability Services.
brightsolid offer business continuity services for clients at our data centre including, in partnership with SunGard, infrastructure enabled work-areas.
The data centre incorporates four Workplace Recovery suites with the capacity to seat 100 workers. This allows your organisation to relocate to the data centre if you were to lose access to your data or offices.
In recent years, companies across the UK have sought to use data centres that are situated out with the M25 corridor and the Scottish central belt, and this was a major factor in brightsolid’s decision to locate the centre in Dundee.
An increasing awareness in the importance of storing critical data off-site at a location which is both secure and a safe distance from their own offices is driving businesses to implement solutions around Business Continuity and Workplace Recovery. In the event of a ‘disaster’, which could be anything from a flood to vandalism, our clients can physically relocate to the data centre with the knowledge that all the vital elements to ensure a seamless transition for their customers are already in place.
brightsolid has access to Sungard’s significant local technical resources and personnel from within its Scottish headquarters in Livingston, as well as its 20 other recovery facilities throughout the UK.
With annual revenue exceeding $4 billion, SunGard is a global leader in software and processing solutions for financial services, higher education and the public sector. SunGard also helps information-dependent enterprises of all types to ensure the continuity of their business. SunGard serves more than 25,000 customers in more than 50 countries, including the world’s 50 largest financial services companies.
