Aberdeen City Council

Record fast cloud migration in the public sector

We were recently awarded ‘Data Centre Solution of the Year’ at the European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2016 for the work we have been doing with Aberdeen City Council. After being chosen as their digital services partner, we migrated their entire IT infrastructure to our Aberdeen data centre in just 6 weeks, making it one of the fastest public sector migrations ever and the council are now saving 250 K a year compared to their previous cost. Every day we digitse enough newspaper records to cover an entire football pitch, enabling British Citizens, for the first time, to access the full British Newspaper Archive online, from anywhere, at any time.

Scotland’s Census 2011

Secure cloud hosting

brightsolid were honored to be chosen as the Governments digital partner for Scotlands’ 2011 census. Proud to be such an integral part of the first Scottish Census available online, we helped make the venture a reality by hosting and managing the project in our data centres from our dedicated cloud servers.
