Brightsolid, Scotland’s leading managed hybrid cloud services provider, has today announced the appointment of Andy Laing as its new Chief Financial Officer. A KPMG trained chartered accountant with extensive senior management experience, Andy has previously worked with various technology investment funds and extensively at director level within VC and PE backed deep tech organisations.
The appointment comes at a time of significant investment by Brightsolid as it launched new Managed Detection and Response and Backup as a Service offerings at the end of 2022, and CEO Elaine Maddison said she was thrilled to have Laing join the business.
“Andy has extensive experience of Scotland’s technology sector and I’m delighted that he is bringing all his knowledge and skills to Brightsolid as we enter the next phase of our growth plan. We’re an ambitious organisation and Andy will play a key role in helping us realise those ambitions.”
And Laing was equally pleased to be joining the MSP.
“Brightsolid has an enviable reputation in Scotland for technical expertise and service delivery. I’m delighted to be joining the Brightsolid team as CFO at a time when the company is pursuing several potentially transformational opportunities.”
